Diamond Lake

A short stroll from the Homestead lies the sensational Diamond Lake. It’s perfect for kayaking, swimming, fishing, in fact almost all water activities. If you’re not feeling all that active, why not just soak up the rays from the lake shore?

Historic Exploriation

Paradise and the surrounding Glenorchy district is an area rich in history. First explored by Maori in search of pounamu and then followed in their footsteps by early European explorers in search of gold. On Paradise alone there is the historic homestead, remains of the Paradise Scheelite mine and even our small collection of old farming tractors that are often admired as part of New Zealand’s farming history.
