We love it here at Paradise and we want you to love it too.  The following T’s & C’s have been set in place to help make this the best stay for you and our other guests.  Please contact us if you have any other questions info@paradisetrust.co.nz.

Cancellations Amendments & Refunds

  • All cancellations and amendments incur a 25% fee
  • Cancellations & amendments within 14 days of arrival incur 50% fee
  • Cancellations & amendments within 3 days of arrival date will not obtain a refund
  • No cancellations due to weather however full refund provided for official road closures

Booking with us indicates your acceptance of these terms & conditions.  Travel insurance is advisable.

Arrivals & Departures

All guests must sign in on arrival at the office.

Check-in is by a pre-arranged time from 3.00pm – 6.30pm (late check-ins incur a surcharge). Our office is not regularly manned so if you are unable to meet your specified check-in time, a phone call in advance is very much appreciated.

Check-out time is before 10:30am. 

Visitors

Visitors must report and sign the visitor book at the office on arrival. Visitors must park in the main car park as only guest vehicles are permitted at the cabins. Visitor tariff is $5 per person. If not paid then the registered guest will be liable. Visitors are at the discretion of the management at all times but are the responsibility of the registered guest.  All visiting guests must leave by 8.00pm. Visitors are not permitted to arrive after 8.00pm 

Vehicle Speed

SLOW. This means walking pace for all vehicles and bikes. Children must have adult supervision when riding bikes at all times. Please watch out for Children and animals. All drivers must hold a current or valid drivers licence. Dangerous driving could lead to you and your vehicle being denied entry onto the property.

Behaviour and Conduct

Reasonable behaviour is expected at all times. Excessive drinking and loud parties are forbidden. Management reserves the right at anytime to refuse entry and to remove from the property any person or group who in the opinion of management behave in an objectionable manner. No refunds will be made in such circumstances. 

Quiet Hours

Complete quietness between 10.00pm and 8.00am. Please be thoughtful of your fellow guests at all times. 

Smoking & Candles

A strict non-smoking policy applies in all accommodation. Fines may apply. 

Candles are prohibited – Please supply your own lantern or hire from us. 

Children

Children are the responsibility of and should be supervised by parents at all times.

Cottage accommodation for children under the age of 5 is FREE of charge. 

Dogs

Dogs owned by guests are permitted with prior arrangement at a cost of $10 per dog per night. The following rules must be strictly adhered to:

  • On arrival at the office for check in, please leave your dog in your vehicle.
  • Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times (we have resident white tail deer).
  • Dogs are allowed inside the huts, however not allowed on any of the furniture or beds. An additional clean up fee will apply if dog hair removal is required.
  • Excessive barking dogs who disrupt other guests may be asked to leave.
  • Please remove and take any dog poo with you. This includes around the huts and throughout the property. 

You may be asked to leave the property if any of the above is not adhered to. There are certain times of the year that we do not allow dogs on the property (i.e. during lambing season). 

Damage to Property

All costs related to any loss or damage to the property and or accommodation is the responsibility of the registered guest.

Cleaning

Accommodation must be cleaned before departure with all rubbish removed from the property including smoke butts

A minimum cleaning fee of $65 may apply.

Lost Property

Lost property will be kept for 1 month only after which it will be donated to charity
We will return property that you leave here on receipt of a self-addressed prepaid postage pack.

Prohibited

Firearms and hunting (of any kind) is strictly forbidden.  There is strictly no drones, fireworks, motorbikes or quad-bikes allowed on Paradise Trust property. Anyone not adhering to this will be reported to the police.

Tour Operators 

Accommodation can not be sublet to any person. Tour operators are to contact us directly with booking enquiries. Conditions apply. 

Photos and Filming

Any photos or filming taken on the property must NOT be for commercial use. 

Drones are strictly prohibited.

WILD MICE can sometimes be found checking out our wilderness huts and boutique accommodation looking for cheese and other snacks. While measures are taken to try and keep these pesky invaders at bay some of the more cunning critters can be seen during your stay.
